Savings a household can name, date, and keep.

At a small desk in Tambon Taba we draw long-term savings-goal plans: the thing you are keeping money for, the year you mean to arrive, and a monthly line that still works when the month is thin.

The Long Horizon Plan is the work we are asked for most. It takes about four weeks and begins with one conversation at the office.

What the written map holds

A map is a few pages the household keeps. It names the goal in baht, not as a feeling. It dates the goal. It shows a contribution taken from a thin month, such as the weeks after school fees or a quiet spell at the market, rather than from the best week of the year.

People come for a plot of land near Tak Bai, for school years still to be paid, for a parent who will soon leave the boat or the stall, and for a buffer that must survive a bad month. The desk writes only the goals you are willing to say out loud. Up to three sit on one map.

Yearly Harvest Review

A return sitting that compares the written map with the year that actually happened.

A household in Taba

The line had to survive a quiet week

Fatimah and her husband wanted a house two lanes away, five years out. Their proudest market weeks could have funded a bold monthly figure. A quiet week during a family illness could not. The map used the quiet week. The house reserve was still intact a year later, because a separate buffer had taken the shock.

That story is written out more fully among the household notes, including the part they still wish had been easier: travelling to the office instead of meeting at home.

Four weeks, then a page you can point to

  1. Week 1Opening sitting. The goals are named, and so are the months when money usually thins.
  2. Week 2You gather records at home. The desk reads the months you choose to show.
  3. Week 3Mapping sitting. The monthly line is tried against a thin month and cut if it only works on paper.
  4. Week 4The written map is handed over at the office, or read through on a call if the road is difficult.

The desk

Come to Tambon Taba with the months you actually lived.

Sittings are booked, not queued. The room is upstairs in a shophouse. Anan keeps the book and will meet you at the door. Bring a notebook if the passbook feels too formal. Fees are explained before a date is held, and nothing on this site takes a payment.
