Who the sitting is for

Households who want a savings goal but cannot yet say what a normal month costs. This is often the first visit, before a Long Horizon Plan.

What you leave with

A one-page ledger: typical inflow, the bills that do not move, the spending that does, and a cautious amount that could be set aside without borrowing from the grocery money.

Included

  • Ninety minutes with the planner
  • A one-page ledger you take home the same day
  • A suggestion on whether a full savings map is the right next sitting

Outside this engagement

  • A multi-year written map
  • Help disputing a bill or negotiating with a lender
  • Bookkeeping for a registered business

How it proceeds

  1. You bring whatever paper you have: a passbook, market notes, school receipts.
  2. We sort a thin month and a fuller month side by side.
  3. You leave with the one-page ledger and a date if you want to continue.

What to prepare

Six months is ideal. If you have only two, bring those and say so at the start.

Limits and the fee

The sitting fee is fixed. It is paid at the office on the day, after you have seen the fee note. The ledger describes the months you brought; it does not invent income you hope will appear.

Ask for a ledger sitting and name two or three afternoons that suit you.
